Does anyone know how I can adjust the rotation speed of my turntable? The one I bought at Target is acting weird and I think I might need to go in and try and adjust something. It might have to do with the fact that the parts are pretty cheap and I'm not too sure if the table/needle area is supposed to be sticking up the way it is. I think if it were more secure then the weight of the record wouldn't put the thing off balance, thus making it act like the record is warped (it's not). Every time I try to play something, the needle just glazes on over the entire thing and stops. Why? I don't know :( I know for a fact that I have it on the right speed setting, etc, and reading reviews online made me realize that a LOT of people have had issues with this brand/model. Bah.

when i was a kid the kid next door had this pretty decent gemeni dee-yay set. he would tape a single penny on the end of the arm right on top of the stylus so it wouldn't slide on the record so easy. what brand you get!? pictures please!

i hope you didn't get the wooden 6-1 turntable thing :( those things look like they're made out of driftwood and held together by second hand tape. what records you playing?

is your needle wanky? :(
i remember when we got new needles for my mom's player- the set was weird: the first needle wouldn't play the record and would gloss over it but when we tried the second needle it worked okay.

if anything...maybe you can get your money back. target is easy to play. hahaha...
